AEROSMITH Guitarist Says He's Come A Long Way Since The JOE PERRY PROJECT
May 3, 2005AEROSMITH guitarist Joe Perry was in Boston Monday night (May 2) for a performance and listening party at Harper's Ferry for his new solo album, which comes out today (Tuesday, May 3). Perry told Launch Radio Networks that he's come a long way since he quit AEROSMITH and released the first JOE PERRY PROJECT album, "Let the Music Do The Talking", back in 1980. "I've got 20 years' more experience in songwriting, and working in the studio, and getting sounds, and I definitely have more of a handle on realizing a vision for what I want the thing to sound like than I did then," he said.
Perry was scheduled to sign autographs at Newbury Comics on Newbury Street in Boston Monday, before moving on to New York City for a show at Webster Hall and an appearance on "Late Night With Conan O'Brien" on Thursday (May 5).
